Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz:
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a strict province-wide crack to curb public performance of weapons and unauthorized use of Toyota Hills pickup trucks. This initiative is part of the comprehensive efforts to strengthen law and order to ensure safe roads for all citizens. The new established Crime Control Department (CCD) has been tasked to strictly implement these measures.
Additional Inspector General of Sohail Zafar Chath emphasized that branding arms or using vehicles to intimidate others would not be tolerated. Such behavior causes fear in the public and disrupts social harmony. The aim of the government is to destroy this culture of intimidation and restore the spirit of security in Punjab.
To effectively track criminals, CCD will take advantage of more than 21,000 safe city monitoring cameras and advanced AI-managed equipment, which illegally carry arms or to identify individuals who misuse vehicles in public places.

Toyota Hillux, locally called “Vigo Dala”, has become a rapidly a position symbol, often misused by individuals to avoid project power or law enforcement. This trend has raised important concerns about public safety.
Through this decisive action, the Punjab government tries to reduce crime, implement accountability and strengthen the rule of law. Cracks are an important step for all residents to promote a safe and more disciplined society.
