The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a highly heat -seasoning warning in most parts of Pakistan from 13 to 18 June, expecting rain and winds in some areas.
Weather -breaking
- Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Potohar region and Upper Punjab: Cloudy, scattered rains, and June 13–16 are expected.
- The state of acute heatwave is expected to be Punjab, KP, Sindh, Balochistan, GB and AJK.
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP): Most hot, but Chitral, Dir, SWAT, Peshawar and the surrounding districts can see rain and winds.
- Sindh and Balochistan: mainly warm and dry weather.
- GB & Ajk: Hot overall, but Estore, Scardu, Hunja, Neelam Valley, and Bagh can get isolated rain (June 13-16).

Forecast measures
With rising temperatures, NDMA advises the public:
- Stay hydrated and avoid direct sunlight.
- Limit external activities between 11:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
- Wear light, breathable clothes.
- Check children, elderly and people with health conditions.
- Never leave children or pets in parked cars.
- Tourists visiting northern regions should monitor the weather updates.
